Where does the prize money come from?
Layup doesn’t pay interest, instead we pay prizes to customers. That’s the business model, you are forgoing the potential to earn interest in return for the chance to win a prize.
What sports are available?
NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, Premier League, MLS, CFB, CBB and Champions League. But feel free to request more sports in our discord.
Can I make my own picks?
No you can not, Layup is chance-based. Layup’s algorithm randomly assigns either side of the line. We do this to stay aligned with the concepts set out by the American Savings Promotion Act.
How is my prize determined/calculated?
The games are manually selected to appeal to the largest amount of users. The lines are from sportsdata.io, we attempt to find the best near 50/50 odds lines. It’s completely random what side of the line you get. Math: There are 21 near 50/50 lines in a week, that means we can create 2,097,152 unique sets of picks every week. You’re randomly assigned one of these. That’s how our algorithm implements its randomization. We randomly draw you a seed between 1 and 2,097,152, which corresponds to a unique set of picks.
How much can I win from the daily draw?
Prizes are determined based on a user’s balance. Match all 3 – You win 10 times your Balance in Prizes. Match 2/3 – You win your Balance in Prizes. Match 1/3 – You win 1% of your Balance in Prizes. Prizes for the daily draw are subject to prize limits as defined in the terms of service.
How long do deposits/withdrawals take?
Standard ACH processing times apply, typically 3-5 business days.
Is my money safe?
All deposits go directly nbkc bank, Member FDIC. In the case that Layup fails, nbkc bank, Member FDIC will ensure that customers get their deposits back. If nbkc bank, Member FDIC fails, the deposits have FDIC insurance.
How do I qualify for the daily draw?
The daily draw is unlocked when all three of your picks for the day hit. If you have 2 out of 3 picks on a given day, unfortunately, you will not be able to win via the daily draw.
